Worshipping in the Anglican Tradition
Christ Church is under the authority of the Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic within the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). Our diocese is a regional grouping of parishes and ministries gathered together for the purpose of sharing resources, accountability, and furthering the Kingdom of God.
The Anglican Church in North America is led by the Archbishop: The Most Reverend Foley Beach. The Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic is led by the Bishop: The Right Reverend John A. W. Guernsey. The Christ Church parish is led by the Rector: The Reverend Susan Sierer (pictured here with Bishop Guernsey).
Christ Church is a local, self-supporting, and self-governing parish. The parish is governed by a vestry which is chaired by the rector, managed by the senior warden, and consists of lay men and women who are elected by the voting membership of the parish for a specific term. The vestry is charged with the oversight of the temporal and business affairs of the parish.
